Mallory Gerner, M.S., LPC Intern
Supervised by Greg Wilson, D.Ed.Min., LPC Supervisor

Mallory sees clients on Wednesdays.

Mallory grew up in Mesquite Texas, and moved to Denton in 2013. She received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas, where she also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in two years and conducted research that was published nationally. Mallory’s formal education, personal experience, and training in her Master’s program have equipped her to serve adolescent and adult clients, both individually and in the group setting.

It is a joy for Mallory to work alongside individuals battling depression, fear/anxiety, grief, and life transitions.  As a counselor, she operates out of an approach that enables her to view each of her clients holistically. Mallory seeks to cultivate a safe environment to encourage clients to become more aware of the way they view their world in ways that foster healthier thought patterns. She is passionate in aiding clients to better understand themselves and meeting them where they are.

Through her own personal experience in counseling as an adolescent, Mallory knew she wanted to enter the counseling field at a young age. When not counseling, you can find Mallory rock climbing at the local gym with her friends, reading at a local coffee shop, and volunteering in the youth ministry at The Village Church Denton where she is a covenant member.
